The resin TRUSSTIC™ is used in the middle part of the Asics sole. This structure gives shoes stability by preventing them from twisting during movement with shapes designed according to the motion characteristics in the sport and the purpose of the shoes. The shape of the TRUSSTIC™ is tailored to the type of shoe according to the motions used in the sport to keep the shoes from twisting.
Indoor sports often involve sudden starting and stopping. So N.C. RUBBER™ has been developed by Asics to realize a grip for instantaneous stepping movements and abrasion resistance for repeated stepping movements. N.C. RUBBER™ is a material that realizes grip and durability at the same time, which are required in court sports. It improves performance in movements requiring quick turns and jumps. Natural rubber with a good grip and synthetic rubber with excellent abrasion resistance are combined. This rubber delivers a good grip against various directions through optimal design.
AHAR™ and AHARPLUS™ are Asics outer sole materials with excellent abrasion resistance, and also come in sponge type with good cushioning. They improve the durability of shoes while maintaining necessary functions including grip. The abrasion resistance of the outer sole greatly influences the life of shoes. AHAR™ and AHARPLUS™ have been developed based on the concept of contributing to environmental load reduction by prolonging the life of products, using abrasion-resistant materials for soles to make them durable for long-term use. Abrasion resistance has been improved by using a rubber material that is also used for car tires which require high durability as the main material for the outer sole, and mixing it with a reinforcing material. AHAR™ has an abrasion resistance about two times higher and AHARPLUS™ about three times higher than our conventional rubber. The sponge type has realized a more than 50% reduction in weight compared to our conventional products.

Commonly used E.V.A. sponges offer shock absorption and rebound properties that complement each other. Asics spE.V.A material retains that shock absorbing quality but increases the rebound component. This enables a high performance product. Improves rebound by 20%. This enhances performance by transferring energy absorbed from impact with the ground to the next step. Developed from a blend of E.V.A. and rubber ball material, it utilizes the qualities of both. Each offers a different dynamic quality that can be used for different shapes and specific shoe locations.
